All joking aside, this will be an extremely busy year. I won't be able to blog regularly anymore on my other blog. This one however will still be a journal of sorts.
I'll just post a highlight from each day:
Friday - Met Dr. Rosenbladt, who is retiring this year. He was a Theology Prof whom I admire greatly and is partially responsible for me coming to Concordia.
Saturday - Seeing Concordia's Science Building. I walked in on Dr. Kenney and two of his students cleaning a lab, and joined in.
A close second was the crazy-wide-ranging-until-2am conversation with some music majors where I was the most conservative in the room. Let me tell you, being theologically Lutheran (granted, conservative Lutheran) I often feel "liberal" among people who don't understand Law/Gospel, Simul, etc... It was really cool though, because I was able to explain a few theological concepts, one of them being why we don't stone adulterers and do eat shellfish.
Sunday - Opening chapel service by Pastor Anderson. All great stuff: gospel, law, properly distinguished.
Monday - Had an awesome jam session with Kevin, a violinist.
Tuesday - Hiking French Hill. The view was beautiful!
Well that's it for now. I have to finish a paper for Math class.
Soli Deo Gloria,
- Jonah
